Music Workout

Music Workout

Steps

  1. Choose 15-20 of your favorite songs
  2. From songs picked, make sure each song has different tempo
  3. Shuffle the songs
  4. When working out, match the tempo of your workout to the tempo to the song currently playing
  5. Fast songs=more intensity medium, tempo song = moderate intensity, and slow songs=light intensity

An example of this workout could be doing a cardiovascular workout on the treadmill. When a fast song comes on, turn the speed up and when a slower song comes on, walk. By shuffling the music, the workouts will always be different every time. This is excellent because you don't want your body to adapt. Meaning more variety in your workout equals more gains and results. If somehow after shuffling the music and the first half of the songs you choose were high tempo, then continue on. At the end, you will walk the rest. Or if your unlucky and have all of slow songs first, then you will end your run on the treadmill running. This workout can also work for other exercise as well such as doing push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, etc. Just follow the beat to the song and you will get a good workout.

If this workout is too easy for you, you can either (a) choose more songs, (b) add more faster songs, or (c) reduce the number of slow songs. I personally enjoy this workout because I can listen to and enjoy my favorite songs to get me through a workout. I hope you guys give this a try and tell me what you think of it!
